Can I change the existing text in a PDF?
The editor doesn't rewrite the original text directly. To change a word or a number, cover it with the Whiteout tool and type the new text on top with "Add Text". The old text under the box is removed from the file, not just hidden, so it can't be copied or found by searching anymore.
How do I edit a PDF on a Mac or MacBook?

💡 Pro Tip
To correct a typo or a number, draw a Whiteout box slightly larger than the old text, then add your new text on top in a similar font and size. Whiteout removes everything under the box (text, and the part of an image it covers), so keep the box over what you want to remove only.
