How do I change the title of a PDF?
Open the file in this tool, type the new name in the Title field, and save. The title in the metadata is not the same as the file name: it's what PDF readers show in the document properties and what many browsers show in the tab when the PDF is open. To change the file name, simply rename the file on your computer.
How can I change the author of a PDF?
Upload the PDF, replace the name in the Author field, and click "Save Metadata". This is useful when a document still shows the name of the person who created the template, or the account name of the computer it was made on.
Which metadata fields can I edit?
You can edit the four standard document properties: Title, Author, Subject, and Keywords. They are saved in both the classic PDF properties and the XMP metadata, so they appear in Adobe Acrobat, Mac Preview, browsers, and document management systems. Dates and the name of the app that created the PDF can't be edited here.
How can I see the metadata of a PDF?
